Suck UK began in 1999, when two designers decided to work together to make the products they wanted to see in the world. They’ve expanded a lot since then, but design remains the core of what they do. And their designs really do stand out.
They’re often quite everyday things, but designed in a way that makes them very different - scissors in the shape of a skull, a torch that looks like a chunky pencil, a wooden stapler shaped like an elephant, or giant pencil sharpeners as desk tidies. Because why shouldn’t these everyday items bring a bit of joy?
And why did they call themselves ‘Suck’? Do their products suck? They certainly don’t seem to! But they refuse to elaborate. Or they do, but with a different story each time. Maybe we’ll never know.
